Leanie is an associate in the firm’s Debt Collection Department, with her main focus being rental and HOA levy collection matters.
Leanie obtained her LL.B degree from the North-West University, Potchefstroom. During her studies, she received numerous academic rewards which include a merit certificate from the Law Faculty for academic achievements two years in a row, and the Golden Key International Honour Society award. She was also involved in additional academic activities, namely the Small Claims Court Project at the Potchefstroom Magistrates’ Court, and the Court Projects, Domestic Violence and Maintenance at the Potchefstroom Magistrates’ Court.
During her articles at the firm, she was exposed to numerous fields of the law, including civil court litigation, debt collections, conveyancing, estates, family law, more specifically domestic violence, maintenance and divorce matters, experience in drafting cost accounts on Magistrates’ as well as High Court scale, criminal law as well as correspondent work.
She will always carry the interest of the firm at heart and together with that, each and every client who walks through her door will always be a high priority to her. Leanie fights tooth and nail for her clients while believing in creating lasting relationships with them. She also believes attorneys should not make problems worse with high collection costs. In this regard, she is steadfast in seeking the best possible solutions and giving appropriate advice. As a member of the Golden Key Honour Society, Leanie believes in hard work, dedication, loyalty and trust. Leanie loves music, playing piano, enjoys the outdoors, exercising as well as travelling in her spare time, and believes in keeping a balanced lifestyle at all times.
