Ilse Hattingh

Ilse is a director at Langenhoven Pistorius Attorneys and is responsible for managing the firm’s Estates Department. She is also responsible for the administration of the office.

She entered the field of law with a passionate belief in the power of legal practice to transform a community, and believes that every attorney should take that responsibility seriously. Ilse has held her current position since 2004, and over time, worked in the Litigation, Debt Collection and Conveyancing Departments of the firm.

Her wide legal background and strong drafting skills allow her to apply legal principles from various and diverse legal disciplines to specific cases, creating well rounded and applicable solutions. Her responsibility of training candidate attorneys allows her to transfer her expertise to develop their skills. Ilse is also responsible developing internal management and compliance systems and enforcement of them.

In her free time, Ilse is involved with international community based charity programmes such as the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen (GISHWHES).
